At last doing what I love to do best, which is doing promotion products!
I remember back then when I was still doing Promotional Products for a well known company. I told my client that I needed an order just for me to hit the quota for the month and get me the promotion I was hoping for. I asked him if there are any orders that might come and probably order it for this month. He said alright and he ordered a couple of Travel’s Bag, around 25 pieces.
I asked when he will need the travel’s bag. He said it’s nothing urgent. He said that he just ordered those to help me out on the monthly goal and hopefully land the promotion. I was quite surprised that he did that. I was really appreciative that he placed the order.
Its things like this that really made me love the industry. The relationship that you build between the clients is something great. They sometimes would really get out of their way to help you out. And this is really what it’s all about. I’ll be looking forward in building a good client relationship for the times to come.

Had it been that long?
June 2010 would mark my 6 years of being in the promotional products industry. Time really does fly if you are enjoying yourself. I have really fallen madly in love with this industry.

I offer solutions to their problems and saving them Time in the process. We all know that Time is a very, very rare and important commodity.
That reminds me of my favorite quote, “If you lose money, you can earn it again in time. But if you lose time, all the money in the world could not help you.”
Of all my clients, not even one would just do promotional products day in and day out. There are Marketing Managers, Sales Managers, Purchasing Manager, Business Owners, etc. Each would have other tasks and other responsibilities. I am to them their Personal Assistant for promotional merchandise.
I work with them from planning to delivery of their merchandise. From putting together product suggestions to visual presentations to making sure items are delivered in time for their events or project. Through this, they can focus more on their other tasks because they are sure that I would do my best to make sure their promotional requirements would always be taken care of.
I must admit, not every order is a walk in the park. I have my share of messed up orders. But I am always on top of everything. I always keep my clients informed of any problems and always have a ready solution or option. To be honest, majority of my regular clients are those that have had problems with their orders in the past.
“Why is that?” you might ask. We all know that something wrong would happen to orders some of the time, most often not within our control. For them, having been able to experience their order going wrong and having it resolved right away, they are now more than ever confident that I would be able to get the job done even if thing do go wrong.

Cheap Price vs. Competitive Price
Being in the industry for almost 6 years, I have run across many clients asking me to provide them with the CHEAPEST item we have available. Personally, I find this a big irony. You are promoting your company or organization and yet you are indirect devaluation your worth or credibility.
Promotional merchandise are mainly used for employee recognition, client appreciation gifts and customer acquisition. Do really want to tell your recipient that this is how CHEAP you really think of them?
Promotional Merchandise is a most cost-efficient way of reaching your target market, creating more impression per penny spent than all of the other media. The product you give your target market reflects your company. What do you think you clients would think about your company if you give them a business card printed on a regular typewriting paper? Would they even bother to call you or keep the business card even? Never going to happen, right?
There is world of difference between cheap and competitive priced items. Competitive in a sense, it is lesser than commodity prices in the market but the quality is the same. There is a certain limit of standards in terms of quality that we have to adhere to. This is how we value our clients’ brand.
